CAFO Internships

Learning and experience for a lifetime of service to the most vulnerable

Even before it is a justice organization, CAFO is a community of spiritual formation.

CAFO staff, interns and long-term volunteers dedicate themselves to growing each day to know, love and serve Jesus Christ more fully.  Our external work together on behalf of children is our shared public expression of this deeper identity.

As we live out this vision together, we affirm and commit to act in ways consistent with the CAFO Statement of Faith, Core Commitments and Guiding Principles.  We also we seek to practice daily, weekly and yearly rhythms of spiritual health and life, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What to Expect

Spend your internship with the CAFO team as we effectively respond to God's call to care for vulnerable children and families.

Exposure to Christian Orphan Care Movement

CAFO unites 200+ child-serving Christian non-profit organizations and more than 850 churches to accomplish more together than alone. CAFO’s initiatives bring together our members to equip and mobilize the global church for effective care for orphans, vulnerable children and their families. Our initiatives include: More Than Enough (Foster Care and Church), Research Center, CAFO Summit, Orphan & Stand Sunday (advocacy campaign), the Global Network and more! You’ll join one of our initiative teams to help move forward this mission together.

OVC Essentials

OVC Essentials provides broadened and deepened knowledge of best practices and critical issues within ministry to vulnerable children and families. Alongside a stimulating community of learners, OVC Essentials supplies challenge where necessary and inspiration to continue in faithful service and learning. You will find this course to be an informative, accessible, and stimulating experience in your journey towards engaging wisely and effectively with vulnerable children.

Transferrable Skills & Knowledge

An internship with CAFO would give you excellent transferable skills in the field of orphan care and ministry work.  We not only care about what you do but who you are becoming. We help develop your skills and give you experience through initiative projects and tasks but we also invest in your spiritual maturity as well.
