Founder and Principal Toxicologist, Center for Toxicology & Environmental Health

Dr. Goad and his wife, Starla, have three children and eight grandchildren.  They have a passion for marriage ministry and are long-time supporters of FamilyLife, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas.  They also serve with organizations involved in care of orphans and vulnerable children in the US and around the world. They are actively involved in their church and love to teach and mentor others who share a desire to follow in the steps of Jesus Christ.  Dr. Goad currently serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in the foster program in Pulaski and Perry Counties, Arkansas. Dr. Goad is Founder and Principal Toxicologist at the Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health (CTEH), L.L.C. an environmental consulting firm. He previously served as an adjunct assistant professor in the College of Medicine, Division of Interdisciplinary Toxicology, and the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, College of Public Health, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas (1977) and a Ph.D. degree in Interdisciplinary Toxicology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (1982). Over the last 30 years, he has been active as a consultant in the area of human toxicology and has been involved in numerous projects involving the measurement of exposures and the assessment of the effects of chemical exposures on humans, including risks associated with accidental release of chemicals into the environment. For eight years prior to that, he conducted experimental studies examining the potential toxic effects of chemicals.
